Free SEO and SEM ebook

March 11th, 2008 · 5 Comments

An acquaintance told me about a free ebook he was giving away. So, in an effort to help you with search engine optimization as is relates to your target market, I’ve provided a link to his page where you can download the free ebook.

I like that it has a “glossary” that defines a lot of the lingo so you can cut to the chase. But it has a lot more than that. It has 61 pages total.

The link is in blue at the top of his page. Enjoy and digest.

Pretty cool stuff. I found the part about drop down menus interesting since the theme I bought recently and discarded from Adii Freelancer had drop down menus. And they cannot be read by the spider monkeys. Figures.

The exception would be dropdown menus that are css. But you do have to add some java script code on the page or in an include file so that it works (drops down) in Internet Explorer. IE is notoriously stubborn about cooperating with design features of any nature.

So if your menu is css and not javascript, it’s crawlable.

Thanks for the mention and link! I’m always making changes to the book (for instance, I’ll be updating the information about the CSS drop down menus soon), so feel free to check back for updates!

I think it’s a very worthwhile resource, very much on target and well organized. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be on my blog. I’m pretty picky.
